I use a wide variety of LTHT Trust IT systems (including PAS, PPM, PPM+ CRIS, ICE, OrderComms, Salud, Results Server, PACS) to check, amend and record patient demographics, appointment bookings and medical results. I ensure that tests and appointments are booked swiftly and once results are available I review these and highlight concerns and unexpected results to the clinical team.
The patient pathway is tracked using PPM which involves recording outcomes and results and escalating to senior managers any cases that are at risk of falling outside of the patient pathway timescales. The data is uploaded to the National Cancer Waiting Times Database and CWT delivery is a key benchmark in determining the Trust's performance which contributes substantially to our objective of achieving Foundation Trust status.
I am a proficient user of Microsoft Office. I have strong skills in Excel being able to create and manipulate spreadsheets for use in data analysis and visualisation. I have good skills in Access being able to build and query relational databases. I am an excellent user of Word, PowerPoint and Outlook as well.
I aim to take my IT skills to the highest level. I have learned the basics of SQL and web design and hope to expand on these skills. I have studied applied statistics at degree level and am keen to branch into data analysis.
